With an aim to recognize, reward and promote wine brands that have been created to identify and target a specific wine drinker, Beverage Trade Network brings to you the Paris Wine Cup held on 17 March 2020.
Paris Wine Cup rewards wines that are made well, taste great, offer great value for money and stand out on the shelf. Winning PWC medal clearly demonstrates the trade how well the wine will be perceived in the market and will give the trade a very good indicator to stock that wine. Paris Wine Cup will single out and shine the spotlight on those wine brands that consumers really want to buy and have a clear market value for trade buyers.
Here are some of the benefits and reasons on why you should enter your wines in Paris Wine Cup.
The Paris Wine Cup will be assessed and judged by a leading panel of top-level wine buyers with current direct commercial buying responsibility. Or wine consultants and experts who are also directly involved in the development of new wine brands or buying wine for commercial resale.
Q (Quality Score) + Value Score (V) + Package Score (P) = Paris Wine Cup Score.
The wines will be judged in three key areas: Quality, value for money and what they look like. To be an award winner you will need to have a top quality wine, that offers both the trade and the consumer great value for money, which truly stand out on the shelf and on the back bar.
The Paris Wine Cup is not just about recognizing wines that achieves the best quality scores that you would struggle to drink more than a glass of. It is about to celebrate wines that are both enjoyable and easy to drink. Wines that are well balanced, where their acidity, tannins and alcohol levels all work seamlessly together. That’s the quality factor.
You don't need to be the cheapest wine on the shelf to offer the best value for money. Far from it. A wine may have a high price tag, but can still offer great value provided it delivers the right quality and taste for a wine at that price point. The Paris Wine Cup will assess each wine for how much value it is offering its customers.
When it comes to packaging and design, it is the most important part of a wine brand to get right. After all, what a wine brand looks like is how every consumer chooses the wine they want to drink. With their eyes first. The Paris Wine Cup will reward those brands that show they understand their customers, and the price category they are operating in, and have produced a design and package with the right personality to attract and keep their attention.
