Heatwave helps French Wine

Bordeaux growers claim that the scorching sun, after a wet spring could bring out a beautiful vintage. 

"Two of three days of the heatwave in Bordeaux at this time, it's magic!" Philippe Bardet, head of the Bordeaux Wine Council, told AFP.

The rising temperatures in the Bordeaux region is an impeccable way to burn off any mildew being caused by the dampness of the area. This is going to be very beneficial for the wines, quoting Bardet “very, very good for quality”
